In 2021 we began the structured mentorship program. The mandate of this ministry is to create a platform in which ladies across generations mentor one another. During this year we began our first cohort which admitted about 50 ladies.
The mentors are required to go through quarterly trainings on the topics being discussed and how to handle the mentorship relationship. Each mentor is assigned at least one mentee to coach for a year. The Leadership team provides support to the mentors during the year and are available for personal consultation.
During the year, experts in various subjects are called upon to train the mentors and mentees in an interactive session on all topics which when broadly themed include spiritual disciplines, relationships, stewardship, health, home making and professionalism.
The program also hosts quarterly fellowships with both mentors and mentees to provide support to the cohort. The faculty members provide monthly lectures teaching the mentees intricate parts of the topics and providing an opportunity for them to interact with the faculty.
We provide a Mentorship Manual to the mentors which acts as their guide through the period of the year. The manual contains all topics to be discussed within the cohort with practical steps on how to achieve growth in those areas. All mentors are required to spend at least 30 minutes in prayer every Tuesday.
The program boasts of 4 cohorts to-date and has impacted over 200 women in all spheres of their lives.
